Biography and Credentials

I am an educator, school administrator, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and Art Therapist, committed to helping individuals and families navigate educational and therapeutic challenges. I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and an Advanced Diploma from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. I am also a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, Ontario Principal Council, Canadian Art Therapy Association, and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Blending my backgrounds in education and therapy, I offer a unique, integrated approach to support mental health, Special Education needs, and overall well-being. I am especially passionate about working with individuals from racialized communities, the LGBTQ+ community, and those experiencing disability-related challenges.

Approach to Therapy and What Sets Me Apart

I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support clients as they navigate emotional struggles, past trauma, and complex life experiences. My integrative approach includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to offer practical tools for emotional regulation, self-understanding, and coping with everyday challenges.

As a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space where all clients, especially those who are neurodiverse, can feel seen, respected, and supported. I recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Each person’s journey is unique, and I honour that uniqueness in every session. My aim is to help clients build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and clarity as they move through life.

In addition to therapy, I offer specialized support for individuals who identify as neurodiverse, including those with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and other cognitive or developmental differences. I provide guidance in navigating Ontario’s education system, including support with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), accommodation strategies, and transitions to post-secondary education or the workforce. Whether you are neurodiverse yourself or are navigating family challenges, mental health concerns, or major life transitions, I work collaboratively with you to find meaningful, strengths-based solutions that align with your values and goals.
